Yes, it is created to hold MOST bikes - 17" to anchor on studs in the back but angled to a mere 12" in the front to slip in the bar.  We made this for a friend and now I am jealous! Guess we will have to make two more...

Our dog Wicked, which you will hear endless stories about, dines at a contemporary Corian countertop built into the wall in our kitchen (spoiled!) He's a 75 lb. Siberian Husky so we set the height at 12" to the top of the bowls. He seems to enjoy it!
